For The Pesto
- 2 Cups Fresh Basil Leaves
- 1/4 Cup Pine Nuts
- 1/2 Cup Parmesan Cheese ( Grated )
- 2 Cloves Garlic
- 1/2 Tsp Salt And Pepper
- 1/2 Cup Extra-Virgin Olive Oil
For Sandwich
- 6 Pieces Of Bread
- 20 Slice Turkey
- 1 Cup Pesto Sauce
- 10 Slice Mozzarella Cheese
- 2 Large Tomato ( Sliced )
- 1 Cup Fresh Spinach
- 2 Tbsp Butter
- 1/2 Tsp Italian Seasonings
Prepare your homemade pesto sauce using the above instructions.
Take your bread slices and spread some Pesto sauce over the bread. Place the turkey slices evenly on both sides and add your choice of cheese. I've used mozzarella here, but you can experiment with provolone.
Add some tomatoes, spinach, or arugula over the cheese and place the slice of bread over the top.
Heat a pan over medium heat and spread the butter; grill your prepared sandwich for about 5 minutes. Until your bread becomes crispy and cheese is melted. Slice in half and enjoy with chips, sides, and soups.
