Ingredients
  

  • 1 Cup Heavy Cream
  • 1/2 Cup Whole Milk
  • 4 Tbsp Unsalted Butter
  • 2 Tbsp All-Purpose Flour
  • 2 Clove Of Garlic Minced
  • 1/2 Tsp Salt
  • 1/4 Tsp Black Pepper
  • 1/4 Tsp Nutmeg
  • 1/2 Cup Mozzarella Cheese Shredded
  • 1/2 Cup Parsley Chopped

Instructions
 

  • In a medium saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the flour to the melted butter and whisk constantly for about 1-2 minutes until the mixture is lightly golden and bubbly.
  • Slowly whisk in the milk (or cream), make sure there is a no lumps and stir until the mixture thickens or for about 4-5 minutes.
  • Stir in the mozzarella or cream cheese. Whisk until the cheese melts and the sauce becomes smooth and creamy.
  • Add minced garlic ,salt, and pepper to taste. Simmer for another 1-2 minutes to let the flavors combine.
  • Pour the sauce over your favorite pasta or use it as a base for other dishes. Garnish with parsley for more freshness.

Notes

1) You can add extra heavy cream or cream cheese to maintain the creamy consistency. Another option is to create a roux (a mixture of butter and flour) to thicken the sauce.
 
2)Without Parmesan’s sharpness, you might want to add a small splash of lemon juice to balance the richness of the sauce.
 
3) Parmesan provides a salty, nutty flavor. You can also experiment with nutritional yeast, which has a cheesy flavor and can add depth to the sauce.
 
4) You can use other cheeses like cream cheese, mozzarella, or even grated Pecorino Romano (which is sharper and saltier). Each will give a different taste and texture, so choose based on preference.
